יום פתוח באוניברסיטת בר-אילן

הפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי שמחה להשתתף ביום הפתוח של אוניברסיטת בר-אילן ב-12 במאי 2023 בקמפוס המרכזי ברמת גן. זו הייתה הזדמנות מצוינת לפגוש סטודנטים פוטנציאליים לתארים מתקדמים ולרפואה (MD) שביקרו בעמדות שלנו כדי ללמוד על התוכניות הרבות שלנו ולשאול שאלות מצוינות ורלוונטיות.

מועד אחרון להרשמה לתכנית התלת-שנתית ללימודי רפואה

ההרשמה לתכנית התלת-שנתית ללימודי רפואה (שנה"ל 2024/25) תתקיים בין התאריכים 6 יוני – 2 יולי 2023. מבחן הידע והראיונות האישיים יתקיימו בצפת במהלך חודש אוגוסט 2023.

טקס חלוקת תעודות לבוגרי תואר שני

ברכות ל-27 בוגרינו לתואר שני (תואר מוסמך) במדעי הרפואה. הטקס התקיים ב-18 מאי 2023. קראו עוד כאן.

ברכות לד"ר דורון שגיא, אשר סיים בשנה שעברה את הדוקטורט שלו בפקולטה ע"ש עזריאלי, תחת הנחייתה של פרופ' מרי רודולף, על זכייתו בפרס ע"ש פרופ' חיים דורון למחקר בתחום רפואת הקהילה. מחקרו של ד"ר שגיא התמקד בהערכת קורס אתג"ר (אוריינות, תמיכה וגשר רפואה-חברה) והשפעתו על הסטודנטים והמטופלים.
ברכות לד"ר מאמון בשיר על זכייתו בתעודת הוקרה כמתמחה מצטיין ארצי מטעם הר"י (ההסתדרות הרפואית בישראל) בכנס ה-44 של ההסתדרות, מבין כלל הרופאים המתמחים בישראל. ד"ר בשיר הוא רופא-חוקר במרכז הרפואי לגליל ואשר קיבל את תארו ד"ר לרפואה מהפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי (צילום משמאל: רוני אלברט).

הפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי -ביקור בריגה

משלחת של חוקרים מהפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי (פרופ׳ אלכסנדר לרנר, פרופ׳ ג׳אן סוסתיאל, ד״ר דפנה וילנר, ד״ר מוחמד מנסור, ד"ר אלחנדרו רויזנטול, ד״ר נעמי דיקמן), ביקרו באוניברסיטת סטראדינס (Rīgas Stradiņa universitāte) שבריגה, בירת לטביה בתחילת חודש מאי. משלחת מטעם האוניברסיטה תבקר בצפת בעתיד הקרוב, זאת הודות לתכנית החילופים ארסמוס (Erasmus).

קורס ארצי חדש במיומנויות מחקר קליני

הפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי משתפת פעולה עם המרכז הרפואי שיבא והמרכז להסמכה במקצועות הרפואה נצרת כדי להשיק קורס ארצי חדש במיומנויות מחקר course lecturer קליני. הקורס הראשוני יצא לדרך בפקולטה באפריל, עם פתיחתו ע"י פרופ' חיים פוטרמן.

הקורס מועבר על ידי מומחים מהארגונים השותפים השונים וכן מומחים ארציים ובינלאומיים. מפגשים נוספים מתקיימים במרכז להסמכה במקצועות הרפואה בנצרת, במרכז הרפואי שיבא בתל אביב ובאינטרנט.

מטרת הקורס היא לצייד את הדור החדש של הרופאים במיומנויות לביצוע מחקר קליני בסטנדרטים הגבוהים ביותר, וכן לטפח רשת ארצית של רופאים צעירים המשתפים פעולה במחקר. בשנת הפיילוט נבחרו להשתתף כ-25 רופאים, והקורס יתרחב בשנים הבאות.

איך נודע לך על אוניברסיטת בר-אילן?

על בר-אילן שמעתי לראשונה מאתר האוניברסיטה. יצרתי קשר עם פרופ' מיכאל אדלשטיין לגבי משרת דוקטורט שהוא מחפש למלא. הנושא שפורסם עניין אותי מכיוון שחיפשתי לקדם את הקריירה שלי בבריאות הציבור ובחיסונים.

למה בחרת בפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי?

מחקרים מתקדמים בבריאות הציבור ובחיסונים אינם זמינים באוניברסיטת Makerere, אוגנדה. ולכן נמשכתי להזדמנות שהוצעה בתחום בריאות האוכלוסייה בפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי. הצלחתי לקבל גישה לכל המשאבים שהייתי צריך כדי להשלים את תוכנית הדוקטורט.

מה אתה לומד?

אני חוקר כעת את ההשפעות ארוכות הטווח של החיסון נגד נגיף הקורונה (COVID-19) בישראל. כחלק מעבודת הדוקטורט שלי, אנו עוקבים אחר קבוצה של אנשים (מחוסנים ולא מחוסנים) כדי לקבוע את ההשפעה ארוכת הטווח של החיסונים.

האם תרצה לשתף אותנו קצת על הרקע שלך?

אני אזרח של אוגנדה וקניה. נולדתי באוגנדה, אולם חייתי את רוב שנות הלימודים המכוננות והמוקדמות שלי בקניה. ההורים שלי עברו לאוגנדה כשהתחלתי לימודי תיכון, וסיימתי את לימודי התיכון ולימודי התואר הראשון באוגנדה. קיבלתי תואר B.Sc במכללת Makerere University למדעי הבריאות בקמפלה ותואר שני בבריאות הציבור (MPH) באוניברסיטת קייפטאון (University of Cape Town, UCT) בקייפטאון דרום אפריקה. עבדתי זמן קצר במחקר קליני במכון המחקר הרפואי של קניה ובשני ארגונים לא-ממשלתיים בינלאומיים; Childs life International ו-LastMile 4D Kenya, תוך הטמעת תוכניות התערבות לבריאות הציבור לקהילות מוחלשות.

ממה אתה הכי נהנה בלימודים שלך כאן?

נהניתי מאוד בצפת מאז תחילת לימודי הדוקטורט. התמיכה מצד הסגל האדמיניסטרטיבי של הפקולטה, סטודנטים אחרים והמנחים שלי הייתה עצומה בלשון המעטה. עמדו לרשותי המשאבים הדרושים לי כדי להשלים את לימודיי בהצלחה ואני אסיר תודה על ההזדמנות.

מה השאיפות שלך לעתיד?

הציפיות שלי ללימודי הדוקטורט התגשמו במידה רבה. היו לי את כל המשאבים והתמיכה שהייתי צריך. אני מסתכל אל העתיד באופטימיות רבה ליישם את הכישורים והידע שנצבר. לאחר סיום הלימודים, אני שואף להצטרף לארגון בינלאומי או קבוצת מחקר ציבורית שבה אוכל ליישם את הכישורים והידע שרכשתי במהלך השנים.

מה תוכל להציע לדוקטורנטים המגיעים ללמוד בפקולטה שלנו, בינלאומיים וישראלים?

אני יכול לומר שהפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי מציעה אווירה טובה ללימודי דוקטורט. הצוות האקדמי כמו גם המנהלה תומכים בסטודנטים. עבור סטודנטים פוטנציאליים, קחו בחשבון שלפקולטה לרפואה ע"ש עזריאלי סביבה שלווה ותומכת להמשך לימודי דוקטורט.

עוד משהו שתרצה לשתף?

אני אסיר תודה לאוניברסיטה ולחוקר הראשי ומנחה שלי פרופ' מיכאל אדלשטיין על ההזדמנות להשתתף בקונגרס העולמי ה-17 לבריאות הציבור (The 17th World Congress on Public Health ,WCPH) ברומא. הייתה לי הזדמנות לחלוק תוצאות מעבודת הדוקטורט שלי ולהתחבר לאנשי מקצוע בתחום שלי. זו הייתה פלטפורמה ענקית עבורי והיא תישאר אחת מנקודות השיא של לימודי הדוקטורט שלי. ספֶרת הסוכרת בגליל ע"ש ראסל ברי

בתאריך ה-3 במאי 2023 נערך לראשונה כנס ספרת הסכרת השנתי (ע"ש רות זלסמן). קרוב ל-250 משתתפים נכחו בכנס והשתתפו בדיונים מגוונים החל מתאי בטא למחקרים קליניים בהשמנה והטמעת תוכניות התערבות באוכלוסיית הבדואים שבנגב. אנחנו מצפים בהתרגשות לכנס הבא בשנת 2024.
הספרה פרסמה את תוצאות המחקר של פרופ' נעים שחאדה, ד"ר סיוון שפיצר וד"ר עפיף נחלה על פיתוחים טכנולוגיים כמו צ'אט GPT. המחקר מתאר כי נראה שלטכנולוגיית הבינה המלאכותית החדשה הזו יש פוטנציאל אמיתי למלא תפקיד בפיתוח חומרים חינוכיים מותאמים אישית למטופלים.
בתאריך ה-17 במאי 2023 אירחה הספרה את חבר הנאמנים של אוניברסיטת בר-אילן ליום עיון בעיר שפרעם. המשתתפים השתתפו בתכנית בת 3 שעות המתארת את המחקר של ספרת הסכרת בשיתוף עיריית שפרעם ושותפים מקומיים נוספים.
בתאריך ה-23 במאי 2023 התכנסה ועדת ההיגוי הראשונה של הספרה לנצרת כדי לדון בכיוונים האסטרטגיים שהעיר תרצה לנקוט במאבקה בסוכרת והשמנה. בדיונים השתתפו נציגים מכל רחבי שירותי הבריאות, העירייה וארגונים מקומיים אחרים נוספים.
