בריאות הציבור

היחידה לבריאות הציבור בפקולטה לרפואה בגליל מציגה גישה אקדמית רחבה שמטרתה לתרום לשיפור הבריאות של תושבי הגליל ובפרט לצמצום פערי הבריאות בין האוכלוסיות השונות בגליל ובין הפריפריה למרכז הארץ.

להלן הפרויקטים שמבוצעים ביחידה:

·       פרויקט "רפאל"- מחקר שמטרתו היא פיתוח של הקניות בריאות הציבור לקהילה, שנעשה בשיתוף פעולה עם האוכלוסיה המקומית ומוסדות בריאות. כרגע מתמקדים בפרויקטים הקשורים לבעלי מוגבלויות פיזיות ומנטליות ושיפור איכות החיים.

·       פרויקט "הנרי"- .Health Exercise Nutrition for the Really Young

מחקר שמתמקד במניעת השמנת יתר בהסתמך על תכנית שמיושמת בבריטניה.

·       נטילת אחריות ציבורית- עבודה בשיתוף פעולה בנושא בין אוניברסיטת בר-אילן ואוניברסיטת לידס בבריטניה.

·       הקנית חינוך לבריאות הציבור לתלמידי רפואה- המטרה היא להבטיח שהסטודנטים יסגלו לעצמם את גישות בריאות הציבור בעבודתם הקלינית.
