Teddy Bear Strength and Resilience Center
After three successful pilot events – October 23, 2023 at the Faculty's Safed campus, then October 26 and November 1 at the BIU Ramat Gan campus – the Teddy Bear Strength and Resilience Center visited Mitspeh Ramon on November 21, 2023.
Some two dozen student volunteers put in a 12-hour day in the south, meeting approximately 70 children from Kibbutz Erez who were relocated to Mitspeh Ramon after the horrific events they personally experienced on October 7.
A groundbreaking collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Psychology and the School of Social Work, the project is being led by Prof. Orly Avni, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Noa Vilchinsky, head of the Dedicated Programs unit, together with the Faculty of Medicine Student Union and students from the Department of Psychology and the School of Social Work.
Stay tuned for more "Teddy Bear" events.
