Research Centers at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine: The Patient at the Forefront
In 2011, Bar-Ilan University founded the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, with a clear vision of bringing equality in health to the northern periphery of Israel. This brought about a huge change in medicine and research tapestries in the Galilee. It is now time to reinforce these achievements and make them grow by creating a synergy between all excellent professionals in the Faculty - leading researchers in their field and top-notch clinical doctors - and building a vibrant medical community.
The Faculty of Medicine is currently building a Galilean research network that brings together nine dedicated research centers. The areas of research were carefully chosen by the heads of the Faculty and represent its areas of excellence and areas that are particularly relevant to the medical issues faced by the population of the Galilee.
Each of the research centers will be a home for dozens of first-class experts and a receptacle for the distillation of the diverse knowledge that the doctors bring, for their connection to the field and their expertise at the clinical level, and the researchers - who constitute the organizational and academic skeleton of the faculty, for their expertise in conducting complex studies.
