Russell Berrie Foundation Covid Project Comes to a Successful Close
Thanks to a very generous and quick grant from the Russell Berrie Foundation last spring, ninety students for nine months dedicated more than 11,000 hours of activity in dozens of Clalit, Maccabi, and Leumit health clinics throughout the Galilee. The students assisted medical staff during this most complex and challenging period of the Coronavirus, by performing basic tasks, backing up doctors and nurses, and proactively informing and raising awareness among the local population regarding proper and healthy conduct during the pandemic. Along with the significant contribution to the regional health system - the students benefited from a first-of-its-kind learning experience in family medicine and working with the community.
Covid-19 Research
Congratulations to Prof. Professor Johnny S. Younis, Vice-Dean for Clinical Education, whose article "Is there an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on male fertility? The ACE2 connection" was chosen by the American Physiological Society as one of the five top most read papers published on Covid-19 during 2020.
