Visit of Israel Nat’l Defense CollegeNatl security college

On December 1, 2020, students from the National Defense College visited the Faculty of Medicine. The students are high ranking members of the defense community - the IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shabak), Mossad and various government ministries.

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Karl Skorecki, and the Administrative Head, Mr. Noam David Reshelbach, acquainted them with the Faculty and explained the health challenges prevalent in the north of Israel.

The visit concluded with a Q&A session attended by Prof. Skorecki; Dr. Bashara Basharat, Director General of the EMMS (Scottish) Hospital in Nazareth; Dr. Anan Abassi, Deputy Director of Ziv Medical Center in Safed; and Dr. Shlomi Bitterman, an ENT doctor in charge of Macabbi Health Insurance Fund community clinics in the Golan.

The visit was led by one of the students, Col. Dr. Olga Polyakov - the Home Front Command's medical officer. Major General Itay Virov thanked the faculty management for the instructive and enriching hospitality.
