Researchers, physicians, and healthcare professionals from the Faculty recently participated in a dedicated course on integrating artificial intelligence tools into research, life sciences, and medicine. The course was led by Dr. Tilda Brillia, a researcher and lecturer specializing in the thoughtful implementation of AI tools in research, academia, and development processes.

The high level of participation in the course reflected the growing interest in incorporating AI tools into research and clinical practice. To better address the diverse needs of participants, the course was offered in two separate groups: researchers and PhD students, and physicians. This format enabled more tailored learning, with examples and discussions closely aligned with the daily work of each group.

During the course, participants were introduced to various applications of AI tools throughout the research and clinical workflow — from literature reviews, information organization, and data analysis, to scientific writing and critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs. The course also explored potential uses of these tools for developing research ideas, writing grant proposals, and streamlining work processes.

The course reflects the Faculty’s commitment to equipping researchers and physicians with up-to-date tools while maintaining critical thinking, professional responsibility, and an understanding of the limitations of technology. The effective integration of artificial intelligence does not replace scientific or clinical expertise; rather, it can serve as a supportive tool to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and creativity in academic and medical work.

The strong response to the course and the active engagement of participants highlight the importance of developing AI skills as an integral part of the modern research and healthcare environment.
