Knowledge Examination – Four-Year M.D. Program

Applicants should register only once for the Knowledge Examination, through the website of Bar-Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, or Ariel University.

The examination will be offered on two dates only:

First Examination Date

May 1, 2026 (Friday) at 9:00 AM
Location: Tel Aviv University

Second Examination Date

May 24, 2026 (Sunday) at 2:00 PM
Location: Tel Aviv University

Important Information

• The examination is administered at Tel Aviv University on both dates.
• Applicants may register for one or both examination dates.
• If an applicant takes both examinations, the higher score will be used.
• Applicants may sit for the examination no more than twice.
• Examination questions and scores are not subject to appeal.

Registration for the First Examination Date

Please Note

1. Registration and payment must be completed separately for each examination date.
2. When entering payment details, applicants should provide the name and ID number of the credit card holder, not those of the examinee.
3. The examination fee is NIS 675 per examination date, payable in a single credit-card payment.

Applicants seeking testing accommodations must submit a request together with the required supporting documentation.

Deadlines for Accommodation Requests

First Examination Date

• Requests may be submitted until February 12, 2026.
• Requests submitted after this date will not be considered.

Second Examination Date

• Requests may be submitted until April 9, 2026.
• Requests submitted after this date will not be considered.

Previously Approved Accommodations

• Applicants approved for accommodations for the first examination date do not need to submit a new request for the second date.
• Applicants who received accommodations due to a learning disability for the 2025 examination and wish to receive them again in 2026 should email their personal details, including their ID number, and indicate that accommodations were approved in 2025.
• Each request will be reviewed individually, and applicants will be informed whether additional documentation is required.

Required Documentation

Learning Disabilities

Applicants must submit:

• A valid MATAL diagnostic evaluation.
• Evaluations conducted by private diagnosticians will not be accepted.

Medical Conditions

Applicants must submit:

• Relevant medical documentation.
• A letter from a physician within the public healthcare system describing the medical condition and its functional impact on examination performance.

In addition, applicants must submit:

• Application for Additional Time Due to Medical Limitations
• Physician's Form for Additional Examination Time Requests
• Medical Confidentiality Waiver Form

Pregnancy

Applicants must submit:

• A medical confirmation of pregnancy.

New Immigrants

Applicants who have been in Israel for fewer than seven years at the time of the examination must submit:

• A valid Teudat Oleh (Immigrant Certificate).

Language Accommodations

Applicants who completed high school in a language other than Hebrew and earned their bachelor's degree at an institution where the language of instruction was not Hebrew (and who have not completed an additional degree in Hebrew) must submit:

• High school diploma (Bagrut certificate or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree certificate

Requests submitted after the deadline or without the required documentation cannot be processed.

Refund Policy

First Examination Date

• Cancellation requests submitted by February 23, 2026 (inclusive) will receive a refund less a NIS 100 administrative fee.
• No refund will be provided for requests submitted after February 23, 2026.

Second Examination Date

• Cancellation requests submitted by April 16, 2026 (inclusive) will receive a refund less a NIS 100 administrative fee.
• No refund will be provided for requests submitted after April 16, 2026.
