A New Academic Year Begins at the Faculty
As the 2026–2027 academic year begins, the Faculty campus is filled this week with excitement, familiar faces, and many new students. Students from all programs arrived to start a new academic year and join our community of learners, researchers, and future healthcare professionals.
We welcomed medical students to a comprehensive orientation day designed to help them get started. During the program, they received important information about their studies, affiliated hospitals, student services, and campus life, along with practical tips to help them settle into their new academic and social environment. Students also received welcome gifts to celebrate the beginning of their journey at the Faculty.
The orientation day opened with remarks from Prof. Orly Avni, Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the new students and spoke about the important professional and personal journey they are beginning.
"The moment you join the Faculty, you also become part of shaping it. The experiences you bring, the questions you ask, and the initiatives you lead will all become part of what we learn together. I hope you will find here a place to grow and discover that, even at the beginning of your journey, you already have much to contribute to your classmates, the community, and the future of medicine."
At the same time, the Faculty held orientation sessions for graduate students, introducing them to academic resources, research opportunities, and support services.
The start of the academic year marks the beginning of an exciting journey for both new and returning students. We wish all our students a successful, rewarding, and inspiring year ahead.
The 2026–2027 academic year officially opened this week at the Faculty with orientation sessions and a warm welcome for our new students.
