138 Reasons to Believe in the Future of Israeli Healthcare
On June 24, 2026, the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee marked a particularly moving milestone as 138 graduates received their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees and officially joined the ranks of Israel’s physicians.
The graduation ceremony took place following a challenging period during which many students balanced intensive medical studies with military reserve duty, ongoing security challenges, and prolonged uncertainty. Despite these obstacles, they persevered and remained committed to achieving their goals.
Approximately 60% of the graduating class are women, reflecting the continued growth of female representation in the medical profession. Throughout their studies, the graduates acquired extensive medical knowledge while also developing essential qualities such as resilience, empathy, discipline, and determination.
We are proud of this new class of graduates and confident that they will continue to strengthen Israel’s healthcare system with professionalism, dedication, and compassion. Congratulations, and best wishes for success in the next stage of your journey.
